About

A man with a gray beard and short gray hair smiling outside in front of a modern building with large windows.

Growing up I was always sketching and drawing but in October 2024 I started painting as a new creative outlet.

As a painter, I explore the rich tapestry of character, classical mythology, and iconic figures, creating a visual dialogue between the past and the present. My work is a celebration of narrative, the power of a single face to tell a story, or a legendary monster to embody a primal fear or fantasy.

Through the tactile process of painting, I capture the essence of these figures, allowing them to breathe new life on the canvas. The brushstrokes become a language for expressing the complex emotions and histories associated with each subject, whether it's the tragic beauty of a classic cinematic monster, or the timeless strength of an enduring cultural icon.

Ultimately, I paint to connect with a shared cultural unconscious. These characters are more than just images; they are mirrors reflecting our own humanity, our dreams, and our archetypes. My practice is an ongoing homage to the enduring power of storytelling through the iconic figures that populate our collective imagination.
